I wa t #2 as well, Donna! Hope you don't get snowed in on the train Judy. Humor and laughing at the absurdities of the current news cycle is helpful. Watching Colbert helps me sleep! Daily caregiver duties are sometimes overwhelming, but overall things are ok in NH as long as you don't live in Merrimack or trust our governor. Rachel Madow took her to task Monday. It was great. Talk soon!
We did not get snowed in on the train, but one of the two train engines failed in the middle of the night and we were stranded for two hours until another engine arrived. No harm done, just a late arrival in Chicago before heading to Colorado.
I hope to have the sequel to Ona's Tears available by next Fall. Because I am "on vacation" I will write about my writing and give current events a rest to save my sanity. We all need a break now and then.
You would know my comic relief. I am currently in Colorado after arriving by train. I shared my dry humor with fellow passengers and go some laughs. Sometimes it really helps to get a change of scenery.
Thanks for your thought-provoking post, Judith. Clarity sometimes comes from contemplation. I like that you brought in laughter— I need to allow myself to laugh more at our ridiculous predicament in the US.
Laughter is my way of staying sane. I am visiting my cousin and laughing about the absurdities we have experienced in our shared lives. It is good to look back and laugh.

Today Ash Wednesday. " catholic girls start much too late."
Your positive attitude and comic relief

It’s hard to laugh during root canal but it diminishes the scare.
I always promise not to smack the dentist. That gets a laugh.
When world woes worry us
Humor superpower trust
shields, supports, sustains!
...
Humor resistance.
We’ll see who gets the last laugh!
Fun feeds, fuel tired hearts.
It is time to laugh at the absurdities of life. I am currently on a cross country train, having fun and listening to people laugh and play.
