Lessons from Lithuania

My family and I just returned from a two week visit to Lithuania to visit my ancestral home. There were so many signs of support for Ukraine. Bus banners said "Lithuania Loves Ukraine." Ukrainian flags fly next to the yellow, green and red stripes. Remnants of Soviet occupation remind us of what is at stake if Putin gets his way. My immigrant grandparents lived in the same fear American immigrants experience today. So much is at stake for all of us.

I pray that Americans will rise to the challenge of "tackling global challenges, supporting freedom and democracy in our part of the world and beyond."
